Kenny Fong

Kenny Fong is an accomplished drumset instructor and percussionist with more than 10 years of performance and teaching experience. His musical journey spans both classical percussion and contemporary drumming styles such as rock and pop, giving him the versatility to guide students through a wide range of musical interests.

Currently, Kenny performs as a guest percussionist with the OCMS Symphony Orchestra, where he continues to refine his artistry in professional orchestral settings. His passion for ensemble music began in high school, where he served as a percussionist in the school orchestra and helped lead the group to countless victories at local and international competitions. These early experiences not only sharpened his technical skills but also instilled in him a strong sense of collaboration, discipline, and musical expression.

In addition to his performance career, Kenny holds a Rockschool Grade 8 certification and has developed a specialty in exam preparation. He has successfully prepared students for both Trinity Rock & Pop and Rockschool grading exams, offering them the skills and confidence to achieve strong results.

Kenny’s teaching philosophy emphasizes a balance between technical foundation, creativity, and enjoyment. He is dedicated to helping each student find their own rhythmic voice while building the discipline and confidence needed to perform in any setting—from orchestra halls to contemporary stages.
