Abigail Poon

Abigail is an enthusiastic young musician with an ARCT in piano and violin. She graduated from the Arts Unionville at Unionville High School with the Melody Adams Award, and earned The Most Valuable Performer Award for the Arts Unionville Strings Orchestra in which she served as the concertmaster. She is now studying at Toronto Metropolitan University in pursuit of her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Professional Music (Hons.), the very first program of its kind in Canada which focuses on the modern music industry.

Abigail began learning the piano at the age of 6 under Ms. Shuk Han Yu, and the violin sib after under Ms. Emily Hau. She has had various experiences accompanying for her church’s choir and worship team, as well as composing, producing and recording original music.

Abigail is excited about helping students find satisfaction in learning and creating music. She believes that music can enrich the lives of budding musicians when they experience music in a fun and engaging way, without lacking the equal importance of discipline and diligence.
