Wayne Lai

Wayne Lai won numerous awards in piano competitions in Hong Kong and performed in Hong Kong City Hall when he was 10. His students have achieved excellent results in RCM examinations and in various music festivals.  He is currently working towards his Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) diploma for Teachers. He also studied piano pedagogy with renowned piano teacher Mrs. Marina Geringas at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Wayne serves as church pianist, choir conductor and band leader at church. He is proficient in contemporary music arrangement and improvisation.

Wayne enjoys teaching students of all ages, not only to help them reach their academic goals, but also to cultivate their interest and appreciation for music. With over 10 years teaching experience, Wayne’s students have achieved excellent results in RCM examinations and won awards in various music festivals:

2019 - Yip’s Music Festival, Piano Level 9 ~ 3rd Place

2017 - The Kiwanis Music Festival, Piano Level 7 ~ 1st & 2nd Place

2015 - North York Music Festival, Piano Level 5 ~ 3rd Place

2014 - North York Music Festival, Piano Level 1 ~ 3rd Place

2013 - York Region Music Celebration Festival, Piano Age 16 & under ~ 1st Award

2010 - RCM First Class Honours with Distinction, Grade 3 ~ 90%
