Karin Mak

Karin graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University, majored in Music Education. She holds the Licentiate Diploma (LTCL) in Piano Performance and Associate Diploma (ATCL) in Vocal Performance from the Trinity College of Music, London. She taught music in day school, and conducted children’s choir and chamber group. She has also performed in piano recitals presented by the Urban Council of Hong Kong.

With over 30 years of experience in piano teaching in Hong Kong and Canada, Karin takes students of all ages from beginner to advanced levels. She prepares her students for the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations and various competitions in which they achieved excellent results, including:

2024 - RCM Level 4 Piano Gold Medal
2018 - North York Music Festival, Level 5 ~ 2nd & 3rd Place
2017 - The Kiwanis Music Festival, Level 2 ~ 2nd Place
2015 - The Kiwanis Music Festival, Grade 6 ~ 3rd Place | Grade 1 ~ 1st & 2nd Award
York Region Music Celebration Festival, Grade 1 ~ 1st Place
