In 2020, she began her studies at the University of Toronto, where she pursued both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Cello Performance. A dedicated and accomplished performer from a young age, Cindy received recognition at the Hong Kong International Cello Competition at just 12 years old as the youngest prizewinner. At 17, she presented her debut cello recital, performing Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 with the LFAS Orchestra in Vancouver.

Her achievements include First Prize in the cello category at the Vancouver Music Festival, as well as Second Prize in a competition sponsored by the LCMS for her performance of Mendelssohn’s Cello Sonata No. 2. In 2018, she was awarded Second Prize in the professional cello division at the Richmond Festival, performing Elgar’s Cello Concerto.

In 2023, Cindy collaborated with a team of musicians as a director, event planner, and performer to produce two Candlelight Concerts, reimagining popular repertoire in a classical format. She has also appeared on a wide range of stages, including orchestral performances, opera soundtrack productions, and large-scale choral collaborations involving ensembles of nearly 100 singers.
